We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for our 2nd Annual Mad Tea Party last weekend. The tapestries and cloths were hung to create a sort of "bazaar", the tables were set with vintage tea pots and cups, the grill was sizzling with fresh sliders and the chess board was set.
It was fun for all; not only did we have a giant checker board but also offered paper hat making, giant bubble blowing, a slip-n-slide and even a karaoke machine. It was an absolute hoot! Things really started getting exciting when the Mad Hatter showed up decked to the 9!
Then it was time to sit down for tea and un-birthday cake. In typical Tony fashion he started to get "mad" and a sugar cube fight erupted. The laughter and good time was addicting and even the White Rabbit began getting in on the action slinging cake.
The day ended with even more "fights", this one when Tony and Todd began launching water balloons into the crowds. The kids went crazy over it and ran through the 100 we filled in minutes and just like that the tea came to an end.
Thanks to all the friends, neighbors and fans who came out and got mad with us! Not to mention all the staff at SHF who helped to put such a great party together. So until next year folks you definitely wont want to miss out on this event again!
