Snugs Dearest, Farmhouse Modern

Terry John Wood's latest book is an incredible capturing of the new farmhouse movement that has been developing on the east coast for many years. With two similar amazing books under his belt, Farmhouse Modern has taken it to a whole other level. Terry's attention to detail and focus on unique pieces, to even celebrating the holidays in the coolest matter he has written an amazing document on this particular style that has captured a few generations.  From personal experience of owning a stone farm house in the Catskills with my own vanacular, Terry's aesthetic is spot on. He captures the magic and beauty of owning and living in a 'modern' farmhouse.

His book encompasses 224 beautiful illustrated pages and text with pictures of his own home, numerous detail shots of Snug Harbor Farm and also owner Tony Elliott's personal home at Ward Brook Farm. Woods' latest book has all the charm of a modern farmhouse in east coast terms and has solidified in our opinion now what it is that vanacular means.

From collecting vintage globes, old charms and keys to displaying, in a pleasing way, our terra-cotta pots and topiaries this book is a must have for anyone with a desire or holding of creative style in their home. His book is now available in the shop and we are so pleased to have been featured by our good friend Terry John Wood!

  1. In New England, we have very rocky soil, so we had no shortage of boulders for pond building. Our mushroom farming work generated many spare logs. All the building materials for a pond were already on the Unity Farm property. engraved wood signs
