Our summer workshop series at the farm has been a hit and we are super excited to be having Glen Lord offer his expertise to teach students the art of Bonsai. Not only do we set trends here at SHF but we also spot them. We venture that Bonsai collecting and care will be the "Terrarium Craze" of the teens. The simple aesthetic of Bonsai can transform a room, be a conversation piece or become a focal point in your garden.
So if you have ever wanted to learn the art form of Bonsai; the ancient Japanese method of growing, pruning, and caring for a miniature tree in a small pot then look no further! Glen Lord is an authority on the subject after working years at Bonsai West, Glen has been actively growing, collecting and educating students about Bonsai for 15 years. Students will learn the history, methods and tools used in Bonsai. Glen will then instruct you while you create your own indoor Bonsai in a Snug Harbor Farm pot. Instruction, Bonsai plant, tools, soil, and pot are all included in this one day event. Register early for your one chance to learn from this master this summer!
