Book Of The Month: The Life & Love Of Trees
We have been getting some really great books here in the shop this season, both on the subjects of gardening and food. We are all avid readers here and know the importance and beauty of books, especially in this new age of technology.
So we have decided to have a book of the month series showcasing just one or two books from our new library here at Snug Harbor Farm. The first in the series is a gorgeous publication by Lewis Blackwell titled The Life & Love Of Trees.
This 200-page book is overflowing with jaw-dropping images of trees from around the world, captured in all matters of their native season. The book is thoughtfully separated into two sections, Life: How Trees Make Their World and Love: How We Feel About Trees.
This is not just by any means a coffee table book of beautiful images. It contains quotes and detailed essays and stories. In the back of the book each image is documented by species, region, photographer, and a small paragraph description about the subject.
So whether you a nature lover or someone else in your life is, this is a must-have book focusing on one of most amazing living things in our world; trees.
