Our New Line of Terra-cotta Has Arrived

The owner Tony, a self described "potaholic" and pot hoarder, has been collecting fine pottery from around the globe for over 25 years now. It all began in the mid 1980's when he fell in love with a rolled rim Italian terra-cotta pot from Terra Rosa. He said, "It took him months to save up to purchase it" and after that he was hooked.
Fast forward now to the present and we here at Snug Harbor Farm are pleased to debut our very own new line of hand thrown terra-cotta. We snagged favorite pots of ours from over the years and measured them. We redesigned the dimensions and made several changes coming up with our very own collection.
Each pot is hand thrown on a potter's wheel with some hand built elements. No two are exactly alike making them totally unique. You can even see the artists fingerprints on some of the pieces. They are made from a high quality earthenware clay and fired to our specific temperature in the kiln. The trick is that this certain temperature allows a specific porosity, perfect for growing moss on the surface.
The pots arrived a little over a month ago and ones that are potted up are starting to green up!
Being a ceramic artist longer than a gardener I truly can say these are some of the finest garden pots
I have seen and can't wait to start collecting them!
Above is our full line of the Snug Harbor Farm, Old English Series. These are our go-to pots from everything for topiaries to begonias. They come in five sizes ranging from 9 inches at the rim to the little Thumb pot at only 2 inches. Below are the two sizes of the Tapered Pie Crust Planter, these would look killer with a three tier rosemary topiary.

Above is a personal favorite of ours here at the farm. Our Rope Rimmed Bowls are great for anything from geraniums  to succulents. The same goes for the series of three Shallow Rolled Rim Bowls below in three different sizes.

Tony designed our Window Box above. It's a fun planter with many possibilities. Each one of the pots is hand-stamped with our logo and the Old English Series is stamped along the rim of the pot in a running strip.

As you can see in these few pictures these new pots have endless possibilities. Many will be potted up with topiaries, but we will be setting up a display of empty ones so that you can take them around the farm with you and see what plants fit. We hope you like them as much as we do and always feel free to contact us with dimensions and prices.
