Holiday Workshops at the Farm

Oh, the weekend after  Thanksgiving. So much pressure to shop, live on leftovers and bring out the holiday lights. Our advice to you- take a break and do something creative! Come visit the Farm on Saturday the 24th and get your hands dirty, create beautiful containers in our greenhouse or sip mulled cider and create your own wreath.  Our designers will be on hand offering workshops and if you need a little bit of retail therapy, our shop is filled to the brim with one of a kind and handmade wares. The nursery will be supplied with cut greens, garlands and bulb- everything you need for your interior and exterior holiday decorating and if you are looking for your holiday tree, look no further! We have
fresh cut  trees and all the trimmings right on hand!

CONIFER CONTAINER PLANTING WORKSHOP

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 24

10:00-11:00

Give your tired and unloved window boxes, indoor planters and hanging baskets a new look for the season. Reuse and recycle your own containers, or purchase a trough or woodland box at the Farm. We will discuss methodologies, plant material and composition. Choose your plants and vessel, soils provided.

BULB PLANTING

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 24

11:00-12:00

Select from SNUG HARBOR FARM’S fantastic array of vessels and add some paperwhites or amaryllis bulbs. There will be a selection of stones, branches and moss on hand to complete your composition-everything you need for bulb forcing! Soils and instruction provided.

CREATE YOUR OWN HOLIDAY WREATH

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 24

SESSION 1: 12:30-2:00

SESSION 2: 2:00- 3:30

Learn how to craft a traditional Christmas wreath using seasonal foliage with SNUG HARBOR FARM staff. Spend the morning in our enchanting greenhouse and set to work to create your own take-home Christmas wreath.

Event details:

Price: based on greens, ribbon and adornment selection. Base materials $15.00 (including tea & coffee on arrival)
