A spring workshop that's the bee's knees!

We are very pleased to announce a free beekeeping workshop to be held at Snug Harbor Farm on Saturday April 3 from 12 to 2pm.

“How and Why to Keep Bees in Top Bar Hives” is an introductory workshop to demonstrate this natural, green method of keeping our important pollinators. A top bar hive lets bees make their own wax - learn why this matters! This workshop is hosted by Gold Star Honeybees at no charge. For more information on Gold Star and other workshops they are hosting this season, please visit there website at

Please register for the workshop and confirm your spot with Christy through an email at or call her at 207-449-1121 with any questions.

Spring has Sprung at Snug Harbor!

With the flowers blooming and the warm sun shining, a hustle and a bustle of spring energy has started to stir things up at the farm.

The show in Connecticut was a great success for us last month and today we are busily preparing to set up our booth at the Portland Flower Show taking place this weekend.

We will have our current best selection of topiaries and other houseplants available for you to purchase there. Here's a link for more details about the scheduled events.

And here's a little of what you can look forward too!

We will see you there!
